Not Just What We Do But Who We Are

As the founder of 427 Operating Partners — and I've spent the last 12+ years building the operational backbone of growing businesses, usually from the inside.

My career started as a leasing consultant, and within a few years I was managing a community — running new hire training, traveling to other regions to roll out new technology and train teams on it, and mentoring managers who were still learning the ropes. Somewhere in there, I also started my own business: a children's boutique I ran entirely on my own, online and at pop-ups — procurement, shipping, marketing, sales, the website, the books, the taxes, all of it. I built and ran that alongside two corporate jobs, and for a couple of years after that, taught daycare and cleaned houses so I could stay home with my kids. If nothing else, that stretch taught me that "wearing every hat" isn't a metaphor — it's a real operating model, and a lot of small business owners are living it right now.

From there, I stepped into a private equity-backed company as a regional manager and worked my way up to Director of Operations. I joined a company of fewer than ten people that was scaling fast — and I mean fast — with no operational structure in place. Over the next several years, I built that structure from the ground up: HR, operations, sales, marketing, acquisitions and dispositions. We went from constantly fighting fires to actually getting ahead of them, and watching that shift happen — from reactive to proactive, from chaos to a business that could actually scale — is what I still find most satisfying about this work.

Around the same time, I co-founded a remodeling and renovation company with a partner, where I've focused on marketing, sales, and accounting while helping grow the business alongside him.

But if I'm honest, the thing I've loved most through all of it has been the consulting side — helping other business owners, especially small businesses and first-time entrepreneurs, figure out what's actually going on inside their operations and what to do about it. I did this informally for years, for free, just because I genuinely enjoyed it. Eventually I decided it was time to stop doing it on the side and build it into something real.

That's what 427 Operating Partners is: everything I've learned building operations, finances, and teams from scratch — for growing businesses that are ready to do the same.

Strong foundations. Scalable operations. Sustainable growth.
